South Course: Open
Winter Rules, Buggies 90 Degrees
The Pitch & Putt course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, was built in 1989, and has 9 holes of par 3, of different lengths, the distances vary from 115 m of the longest to 56 m of the shortest.
A distinctive feature of the Pitch & Putt course is that it has two tee positions for each hole, so that in reality it can be said that the par three course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is an 18-hole course. The tees are made of artificial grass, which allows you to play all year round in good conditions.
The greens of the pitch & putt course are small with a length between 14 and 20 meters deep, with little movement, in some cases protected by bunkers. Water is also present in the course, both the lake shared by holes 2 and 6 and the Guadalmina river. This golf course occupies an area of 33,000 m2, which practically run on two well-defined platforms.
Some of the holes are known for their difficulty, such as hole 3/12, with a high green, which requires precision, or hole 9/18, which demands a shot over the trees that protect a green surrounded by a deep bunker.
The Pitch & Putt course is next to the practice area of Aza’s Corner, and shares the parking for vehicles, with that practice area, something very convenient if you want to start a round of golf. We could say that this facility is the ideal complement, both for beginners and for players who wish to improve their accuracy in the short game.
A round on the 18 holes of Guadalmina’s “short course” may require a little more than one and a half hours, and we are sure that when you return to play the “big course” your approach to the flag will thank you and you will see the results.
