Álvaro Mueller-Baumgart, 2019 Spanish Champion

Just three months after his victory in Las Pinaillas in the Spanish Championship Under 18, the player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has won the coveted Spanish Absolute Championship, thanks to rounds of 71-71-73-71.

The fourth day was a beautiful battle between two future stars of Spanish golf, the Catalan David Puig and Álvaro. Mueller-Baumgart started from the lead along with Ignacio Montero, who said goodbye to the triumph with an 8 on the meridian of the round.

Álvaro and David faced the last 9 holes tied (EVEN) and a great birdie in the last hole gave the victory to the andalusian.

It is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that a player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has won the title. Hidalgo 2016 & 2019, Mueller-Baumgart 2019. Awesome.

Our most sincere congratulations, Álvaro, you have made us enjoy so much.

Upcoming challenges, Team Europeans (absolute and under 18) and the US Amateur. Do not discard anything because "martillito Mueller" is ready for everything. VAMOS!

In order for these maintenance works to have the expected results, the courses will remain closed during treatment week as follows:

From 6th to 12th we will close the North Course and from 20th to 26th, the South Course. During this first week we will also work on the main putting green and the chipping green, so we kindly ask you to practice in the new area.

George and Jan Novelli are the organizers.

The entertainment will consist of a flamenco show by the hand of one of the best flamenco groups of the area (Solo Flamenco): three dancers, a cantaor, & guitarist will delight us with their art. In addition Frankie B will provide his style of music to get us all dancing.

The Barbecue menu is as you would expect with a selection of many dishes including our Club’s well known Paella and a variety of Meats.

The cost per person is 40 €, which includes a half bottle of wine, to be paid at the table on the night.

Be sure to reserve your place, this is one of our Club’s special social events which you will not want to miss.

What could be better than dining with friends around our floodlit pool listening to familiar music, enjoying good food and possibly meeting new people?

Álvaro Mueller-Baumgart, spanish champion Under 18 in Las Pinaillas

Our young national talent Álvaro Mueller-Baumgart wins the Spanish Championship Under 18, his most important trophy to date.

Neither the rain of the fourth round nor the great players of the tournament could beat an stellar "Martillo Mueller" who, after dominating the tournament from start to finish (68-74-71-77), closed this past Sunday an incredible start of the season.

Remember that Álvaro, in addition to a third place in the prestigious Copa del Rey, had outstanding performances in the Andalusian Cup, Barcelona Championship and, of course, in the Finnish Open (victory).

As we could read in the news of Adolfo Juan Luna in Tengolf, he started the year in the position 1263 of the amateur world ranking and this week he will enter into the Top 30. Incredible.

Many congratulations from all the team of Guadalmina, Álvaro. Let's continue training and enjoying this game!

Amazing week also for Azahara Muñoz with a 2nd place in the Kia Classic, getting into the top 5 in the season ranking of LPGA.

Alejandro James Chacón has maintained his title from last year in Playa Serena

Alejandro Chacón was the great protagonist of the weekend. He won, for the second year in a row, the Cadete category (scratch) in the "Puntuable Zonal Nacional" played in Playa Serena.

Neither the wind could with the nerves of Alejandro who, after carding 75 and go to the final day with 2 of advantage, finished the tournament with a fought 77.

Great, Ale!

Also highlight the Top 10 achieved by Lucia Morales (Infantil and Alevin), Mateo Ruiz and Pablo Hidalgo (Cadete), Carlos Mendoza (Infantil and Alevin), Rebeca Fernandez and Alejandra Sánchez de la Fuente (Cadete).

Congratulations to our 16 boys & girls who participated.

On the other hand, contratulations to Álvaro Mueller-Baumgart and Elena Pany for their victory in the Scratch Club Championship played this weekend in Guadalmina.

The kids and Guadalmina. What a Pequecircuito!

More than 90 new and not so new talents of Andalusian golf met in our P & P course this past Sunday.

The atmosphere was undoubtedly the great protagonist of the day, full of smiles and joy of the little ones, who once again gave us a lesson in nobility and fellowship.

Thank you very much everyone for participating and congratulations to all the winners. Especially, our dear Angela Márquez, who won the category 10-11 years. Good performance also by Jaime Macias (5th in less than 8 years)

Thank you very much grandparents, parents, brothers and RFGA for accompanying and taking care of our kids and choosing this sport as a way of life for them.
